We bought one of the oldest homes in Palo Alto with the aim to renovate it before moving in. As this was the first such project we’d ever undertaken, we met with a lot of people beforehand who had completed similar projects and these criteria were frequently mentioned: The builder must: – do high quality work; – be efficient; – be able to solve project and construction problems rapidly (when they invariably arise); – and, most importantly, have high integrity. We found all of these qualities in NorthWall Builders who managed and implemented our project. Their schedules and cost estimates were very accurate. They took a “sure we can” attitude towards any requests we made during the construction process. They brought us into the decision process at the right levels, explaining choices and the implications to us – while not overwhelming us with 1000′s of details. I can’t imagine a contractor doing a better job of getting a job finished on time and on budget than NWB. Their weekly meetings kept everything on track perfectly and let us know what decisions we would have to make so that we could stay on top of the process. Our only regret in working with NWB is not getting them on the job sooner. Some of the best design ideas and finishes came straight from NWB.
